Product Knowledge
Failure phenomenon 1
In a short period of time, the protective lens is easily damaged, and there will be damage point on the glossy side of the protective lens, showing black or black spots.
Failure analysis:
Due to the wrong operation of the process/technique/setting, the anti-slag will damage the protective lens.
Solution
●Appropriately increase the air pressure, usually the flow rate is not less than 15, the pressure is not less than 0.4MPA, it is recommended to use the pressure gauge of oxygen is not less than 0.2MPA
●When welding, try to weld the gun and the plate at 45°, not vertically
●Set the parameters as much as possible to give slow rise and fall, such as on/off gas delay 200-500ms, on/off optical power 20%, on/off light progressive time 200-300ms, as shown in the figure can not set 0
●When welding aluminum and galvanized sheet, this material will be more likely to damage the lens than other materials, so set the power to be less.
●The quality of the protective lens also determines the durability of its use, and it is recommended to use original lenses
●At high power, the damage of the lens will increase compared to low power, which is an uncontrollable range
●When none of the above can be handled, replace to be F200 focusing lens & extended scale tube which can reduce splashing. It need extra purchase for these parts.
Failure phenomenon 2
The laser light change from strong to be weak slowly , so the welding wire can't be melt and there will be spark at the copper nozzle.
Failure analysis:
Usually it's caused by the lens damage( protective lenses, focusing lens, reflective lens, collimating lens). This can occur due to any one or more of these damages
Check and Replace the protective lens / focusing lens / reflective lens / collimating lens if any of them are damage.
In addition, check whether the laser fiber head is dirty or damaged
Analysis of lens damage:
1. Classification of damage: the motor swings abnormally caused by interference, or the red light is too biased and not adjusted, and the sealing ring will be burned out together under normal circumstances
2. Convex surface damage of lenses: generally common in pollution, such as unprotected when replaced, the form is dotted black spots
3. Plane damage of the lens: due to laser diffuse reflection, most of them are caused by reflection, forming a focus on the lens, burning the coating, and the form is white spots. The convex surface also has this morphology, and the formation principle is the same
Solution :
To replace the damaged lenses
How to avoid it later:
In handheld welding, the most frequent replacement is related to lenses, and preventive measures are taken against the cause of damage
1. Use original lenses
2. Pay attention to anti-pollution environment when replacing the lens.
3. try to weld the gun and the plate at 45°, not vertically, especially when welding highly reflective materials
4. Replace the damaged protective lens in time, as the protective lens is the most easly damaged. When the energy / light become weak, then you should check if the protective lens are damage and replace it. If you continue to do welding with the damage protective lens, there will cause other lens ( focusing lens, reflective lens, collimating lens) to be damaged.
