Differences between Plasma, flame and laser
1. Plasma cutting
Cutting quality: excellent angle, heat affected zone is small, almost no slag, good to excellent cutting effect.
Production capacity: high speed when cutting metals with various thickness, perforation fast.
Operating cost: wearing parts long life, good productivity, cut quality good, resulting in a lower cost than other technologies in a single operation.
Maintenance mode: maintenance team in factory usually be appropriate for the maintenance of many components.
2. Flame cutting
Cutting quality: a good angle, a large heat affected zone, slag volume, need to rework.
Production capacity: cutting slowly, warm-up time will increase the number of perforated.
Operating costs: production efficiency is low and need to rework, resulting in a higher cost than plasma in a single operation.
Maintenance mode: maintenance team in factory usually is appropriate for the simple maintenance.
3. Laser cutting
Cutting quality: excellent angle, heat affected zone is small, almost no slag, good to excellent effect can be achieved under conditions of the narrowest curvature.
Production capacity: cutting torch can be quickly disengaged, improve production efficiency, high speed when cutting the metal material thickness less than 6mm.
Operating costs: as electricity and gas consumption when cutting thicker materials, maintenance costs are high and the cutting speed is relatively low, leading to the high cost of a single operation
Maintenance mode: need professional and technical personnel to complete the work of maintenance.
